NuFace is easily one of the most recognizable names in at-home beauty
tools, particularly when it comes to anti-aging and facial lifting.
That said, after using it consistently with wrinkle reduction in mind,
the results didn’t quite live up to the reputation.
The device is lightweight and visually appealing, but maneuvering it
around areas where wrinkles tend to settle — like the nasolabial folds,
forehead, and jawline — required more precision and effort than
expected.
While it’s comfortable to hold initially, longer anti-aging sessions
began to feel awkward. And because microcurrent treatments require slow,
repeated passes to stimulate facial muscles, each session took longer
than I wanted to commit to.
In terms of sensation, it’s mostly painless. You may notice a mild
electrical “tingle,” especially if you don’t use enough conductive gel.
When applied correctly, it’s extremely gentle — almost too gentle.
After several weeks, the results were modest. I didn’t see lasting
improvement in fine lines or deeper wrinkles, and the changes didn’t
compound over time the way I expected from a dedicated anti-aging
device.
The biggest drawback was the level of commitment required. While it’s
more affordable than some high-tech wrinkle devices, it demands very
frequent use to maintain even subtle results. For the time investment
needed, the long-term anti-wrinkle payoff felt underwhelming.
That’s why NuFace landed in second place. It offers a temporary smoothing
effect and a polished user experience, but for people seeking
consistent, visible wrinkle reduction with less daily effort, there are
more effective options available.
